I recently ordered a few bits and pieces from Boots online and it was only as I unpacked them that I realised that most of them are repurchases. Turns out I’m a creature of habit! So I thought I’d take a minute to show you what I bought & let you know which products I’ll be reviewing in upcoming posts.
The Simple Micellar Cleansing Wipes have become a skincare staple for me (you can read my full review here) – I haven’t reached for any other wipes since I first tried these a couple of months ago. They just leave my face feeling lovely and clean without that weird tight feeling, so on those far too regular occasions when I’m in too much pain to complete my skincare routine, I can grab one of these & make my skin feel clean and comfortable very quickly.
This is my third bottle of Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water (combination & sensitive skin version). I’ve used higher-end waters before but this one performs just as well; keep an eye out for an upcoming review.
The Sanctuary Pore Refining Toner was an impulse buy as I don’t currently have a toner that I’m crazy about. Sadly this product is a fail for me – it smells quite strongly of roses, which my broken brain can’t handle 😔 Fortunately it’s a small size and therefore wasn’t expensive so it’s not the end of the world.
Origins Starting Over Age Erasing Eye Cream is a first time purchase for me. Origins eye creams in general seem to get very good reviews so I’m looking forward to using this product for a while then doing a full review post.
NYX HD Finishing Powder is a repurchase that was included in a post I wrote way back in September 2015; you can check it out here. Whilst I’m always on the lookout for primers, foundations and powders to help battle the dreaded t-zone shine, I’ve found that they don’t have to be super pricey to be effective. I think this product may get an updated post of it’s very own. BTW how do Boots store their products for this one to get so scratched up in storage? Did it have to endure battles with other products to win a place in my parcel??
NYX Microbrow Pencil is technically a repurchase as I’ve opted to try a different shade to the one I’ve been using; I have lots to say about this little gem though, so expect a full review soon!
Finally Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Lip Balm is a true drugstore gem. I LOVE the scent – dark chocolate & mint. The texture can be a touch gritty at times but it’s a rich and lovely balm. They also have a gloss version if you prefer a shiny finish. If I were out & about and had a dry lip emergency, I’d grab this in the chemist/supermarket, as it never fails me.
What drugstore products have you found yourself repurchasing?
Wishing you good luck and happy days,
Kindra x
